Getting There: Agartala (The state capital) Air : Regular flights operate to Agartala from Guwahati, Silchar, Udaipur , Melaghar and Unakoti. Indian Airlines has daily flights to and from Calcutta and three flights per week from Guwahati. Jet Airways has flights to Agartala from Kolkata. The Airport is 12 km from Agartala city via the Ujjayanta Palace . Pawan Hans also operate regular helicopter services from Agartala to Dharmanagar a small town in north Tripura. Rail : The railway station nearest to Agartala is Kumarghat. The railways are constructing a narrow gauge rail line right up to Agartala which should be completed soon. Road : Regular bus services are available to Agartala from Guwahati. An Agartala -Dhaka bus service connects Bangladesh quite easily.
