Motorbike Safari in Uttarakhand

Duration : 22 days / 21 Nights

This particular cycling tour in Indian Himalayas, will take you to Himalayan state of Uttarakhand, this trip is a mixture of Adventure & visiting some of the most prominent Himalayan pilgrimage spot of the country. During the trip we will take you through the wildlife tresure of india at Corbett National park, which is true tiger country. We will explore biking along the Ganges to witness the attachment & lifestyle along the most respected river in the world. In this trip we will be having breaks at some of the breathtaking spots with 180 degree view of majestic Himalayas.

Day 01: Delhi Arrival
Upon arrival at Delhi airport met our representative and then transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02: Delhi - Mussorrie (2104 m) drive (295 Km /7 hrs)
After an early breakfast commence drive to Mussoorie. Enroute stopping at Dehradun. Afternoon arrive in mussoorie and check in hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 03: Mussorrie - Dehradun - Mussorrie (45 Km)
Assemble your bikes and in the afternoon dropped down to the plains in the direction of Dehradun for the pleasure of climbing back up and testing our bikes. In the evening visit the Mall Road, Gun Hill & Local market.

Day 04: Mussorrie - Dhanolti - Chamba (1650 m) 50 Km
Morning after breakfast, cycling to Chamba at 2130 m along the Dhanolti ridge. Chamba - At the doorstep of heaven, on the foothills of the Himalaya is Chamba - unexplored, untouched, a perfect holiday retreat, overlooking the snow clad peaks on one side and offering an magnificent view of the valley on the other side. About 50 km from Mussoorie is the small hill town of Chamba.

Day 05: Chamba - Tehri - Ghansali (974 m) 56 Km
Biking towards Ghansali via Tehri.

Day 06: Ghansali - Chirbatiya (1850 m) 35 Km
Cycling to Chirbatiya is 35 km by road from Ghansali and the trek starts from here through lush Oak forest. The whole area is replete with rare medicinal herbs and a repertory of wild flowers. It is also rich in wild life.

Day 07: Chirbatiya - Tilwara (1290 m) 36 Km
Cycling to Tilwara, Tilwara is situated by the placid and gently flowing river Mandakini.

Day 08: Tilwara - Guarikund (1982 m) 55 Km
The road at first climbs gently towards the bridge at Kund, sometimes giving fresh views of Kedarnath Peak. Then the road rears up to the drab town of Guptakashi on a shoulder and follows an intricate route along valley slopes, still climbing gently until 5 km from Gaurikund where it again becomes steep.

Day 09: Guarikund - Ukihmath (1319 m) 34 Km
Ride down to Kund bridge, and ended the day with the stiff short climb to Ukhimath.

Day 10: Ukihmath - Chopta - Gopeshwar (1309 m) 72 Km
From Ukhimath it's a long but pleasant climb to Gopeshwar via Chopta.

Day 11: Gopeshwar - Joshimath
At first the road takes a line a little way up the valley side, undulating, following indentations at side valleys, and negotiating landslide areas. There are plenty of tea stops.

Day 12: Joshimath - Govindghat (2 hrs drive) - Gangarai 5 - 6 hrs trek
After breakfast we drive to our trek head at Govind Ghat (1830 mts), from here we make a steep ascent along the Bhunthar Ganga River, through charming hills side villages and meet Pilgrims making pilgramage to Hamkund Lake. On the way we will have fine views of 6800mts Hathi Parbat. Our Two nights camp will be at Gangaria (3050 mts), with fine views of the Valley and the river, surrounded by Pine trees.

Day 13: Gangaria - Valley of Flowers - Gangaria :
about 6 - 7 hrs round trip (walking tour including excursion).
Today after early breakfast we take our pack lunch and make a gradual ascent until a small wooden bridge after that the trek becomes very easy, passing through the meadows and slopes carpeted with wild Flowers (Sadly the best display is during monsoon). We have our lunch in the Valley, with fine views of the Kamet range. Return to our camp at Gangaria. Dinner around Bon Fire. Overnight in tent.

Day 14: Gangaria - Govindghat - Badrinath.
After breakfast we trek back to Govindghat about 5 - 6 hrs, and then drive about 2 hrs to Badrinath.

Day 15: Badrinath (3096 m) - Auli 62 Km, via Joshimath
Today Biking to Auli via Joshimath.

Day 16: Auli - Pipalkoti (1259 m) 29 Km
Bike down to Pipalkoti .

Day 17: Pipalkoti - Karanprayag - Gwaldam (1940 m) 97 Km
Biking to the village of Gwaldam. Gwaldam is a quaint Himalayan town surrounded by fruit orchards. It offers a magnificent view of Nandaghunti, Trishul and Nanda Devi peaks.

Day 18: Gwaldam - Kausani (1890 m) 39 Km
Cycling to Kausani. Kausani, in the heart of the Kumaon Himalaya, is a picturesque. Though, its claim to fame is the breathtaking sunsets which it offers, it also offers a magnificent view of the Panchchuli peaks. The oak and rhodedendron trees exude a quaint charm, which only adds to the beauty of Kausani.

Day 19: Kausani - Almora (1650 m) 50 Km
Bike towards Almora. Almora is one of the most scenic spots in the Kumaon Himalayas. It is surrounded by forests and is home to many species of wild flowers. It offers a magnificent view of the Himalayas including the Chaukhamba, Trishul, Nanda Devi and Panchchuli peaks. The surrounding forests of rhododendron and oak are a trekker's and nature lover's paradise.

Day 20: Almora - Nainital (1938 m)
After breakfast start cycling towards Nainital. Nainital is a beautiful hill district situated in the Central Himalayas and is known as India's 'Lake District' because numerous lakes are spread across it's boundaries. The most prominent of the lakes is Naini lake ringed by hills. Blessed with salubrious climate and scenic beauty, the town is a popular destination and attracts tourists around the year from India and abroad. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 21: Nainital - Corbett National Park drive 86 Km
Morning after breakfast drive to Corbett National Park. Arrive Corbett & transfer to hotel. Later jungle safari. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 22: Corbett - Delhi
After b/f drive to delhi 300 km, catch your flight.
