Discover Meghalaya : Scotland of the East Tour
Duration : 7 Days
 Day 01 : Meet upon arrival at airport in Delhi / Calcutta and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02 : Transfer to airport for flight to Guwahati. Arrival in Guwahati and check into hotel for overnight stay. After lunch local sight-seeing and Brahmaputra river cruise.
Day 03 : After breakfast drive to Shillong 100 km, the capital of Meghalaya, the Scotland of the East. Check into hotel. Afternoon visit Bara Bazar.
Day 04 : Whole day sight-seeing programme at Shillong. Morning proceed to Shillong peak from where one can see the whole of Shillong town. Also visit Museum, Emporium, Wards lake, Lady Hydari Park , Butterfly Museum , etc.
Day 05 : After breakfast drive to Cherrapunji 55 km which expediences the heaviest rainfall in the world. Enroute visit Elephant fall, Mawsmai fall, Mauthrap Mawsmai Cave etc. overnight stay at Cherrapunji.
Day 06 : After breakfast drive to proceed to Umaim lake, lunch at Orchid Lake Resort. After lunch drive to Guahati 100 km and check into hotel for overnight stay.
Day 07 : After breakfast proceed to Umaim lake, lunch at orchid lake resort. After lunch drive to Guwahati and check into hotel for overnight stay.
Note :
1. Foreign tourists require restricted area permit to visit Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland and Mizoram.
2. Travel documents required to obtain the permit are :
A) Xerox copy of passport and visa details along with filled application form.
B) Two passport size photographs.
3. Restricted Area Permit for Foreign tourists is granted for 10 days which is extendable.
4. Package is inclusive of :
Food, lodging, transportation, guide fees, all necessary entry fee in the national parks including elephant rides, boat and jeep ride and Government Royalty fee.
